The game "Travians" is a real time RPG Browser Game developed by the company that created the original German "Travian". Players take the roles of tribe leaders of Romans, Gauls or Teutons. Your male or female avatar will age during gameplay and "retire" after 111 days of game time to be replaced by a descendant. When the game starts your character can chose from the four occupations miner, lumberjack, clay digger or farmer. But later in the game you can also chose from new professions like carpenter or baker. Just like many other construction games Travians makes uses of different resources: wood, clay, ore and grain, plus the secondary resources coal, boards, bricks, iron, flour and bread. The resources can be sold for copper, silver and gold to buy new houses and items. And, of course, there is a premium currency, in this case diamonds, which can be bought for real money to get extra benefits and stuff in the game.

The game kills off a lot of time because of its mechanic: To gather recourses or perform other actions you need "action points" and "occupation points" which are collected at a 1 per 48 minutes rate. Also, Travians is a lot more focused on social interactions than on war like its predecessor "Travian". Players are encouraged to use chat box, add other players to their "friends list", join guilds, create blogs and play mini-games to get "Social Points".
