Under Jolly Roger in Seafight

Everything is better with pirates, right? Let us see if this holds true for Bigpoint's Seafight, a browser-based MMO with pirates. As captain of a pirate ship you start off with almost nothing and have to grind your way up to the position of most notorious pirate captain of the seven seas. Shortly after havening chosen your name and the server you want to play on, you are confronted with a lot of options. In the Browser Game Seafight you do not only have to sail the seas, fight enemies and loot treasures. You also entered a kind of business simulation since you have to monitor a lot of numbers to make sure you will not go under: Your crew needs food, life vests and rum to stay happy and healthy; your ship needs weapons and other inventory; and you have to learn how efficiently deal with the traders to make enough gold to pay for all that.

The graphics of the game look all pretty solid for a MMO browsergame. The level of details makes ships, crew, and items look quite realistic. The battles are also done well and look good. The only drawback is the size of the graphics which seems to be a bit small. Overall, this is a pretty good browser game if you are into pirates and tired of the monotonous monster grinding in the typical fantasy browser games out there. As typical for these games you do not have to install any programs since Seafight is completely browser based: No logging on to servers, no patches or other annoying stuff. And you can give Bigpoint some money by buying some pearls, the premium currency, to get more powerful than the other pirates.
